Grow Palestine's Tech Sector

Palestine's startups, coding schools, and freelancers are isolated. You can bridge that isolation and help them grow, in whatever way suits your life and circumstances best.

Entrepreneurs, VCs, and employees from Google, Facebook, Uber and many others have mentored in Palestine. Read their testimonials.

Stay informed & promote on social media

It only takes a few seconds each day to help Palestine's startups and techies reach audiences that matter to them. Many mentors (maybe even most) who come to Palestine find out about the opportunity from your social media feeds. Follow these organizations & individuals, and share their content.

Gaza Sky Geeks: newsletter, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

Code for Palestine: blog, Facebook

Ibtikar Fund: Twitter

Mentor or lecture in person

Arrange in-person mentorship or lectures through Palestine's startup incubators. If you are planning last-minute, you can drop by Leaders/FastForward/eZone and see if any startups need your help. If you are planning 6+ weeks in advance, you may be able to go to Gaza (opportunities are more limited) as well as the West Bank. The organizations on the ground will have the most current info.

Time commitment: 0.5 days or several days (arrange with the startup incubator)

Cost: Typically you will need to cover your own travel costs

Mentor or lecture remotely

Arrange remote mentorship pairings or lectures through Palestine's startup incubators. Even if they don't have a perfect fit immediately, they'll keep you in their database and reach out when they do.

Make introductions for startups

When a startup needs a specific resource, it helps to have a wide network that can make the right intro quickly: to a mentor with deep expertise on marketplaces, a potential co-founder in London, or an investor with similar interests:
